First announced back in June, Walmart’s InHome Delivery service is now available for over 1 million customers in various cities including Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Vero Beach, FL. Walmart has camera-equipped associates that will enter your home and deliver food directly into your fridge. No need to even get up and get the door at this point. This service will cost you $49.95 upfront to have the company install the Level Home smart lock or the Nortek garage door tech for the associate to get into your home. After than you will be charged $19.95 for the monthly fee for the service. You get unlimited deliveries, but your total bill will need to be at least $30 to qualify.
Amazon has been offering this same delivery style since 2017 and its not part of the Key home delivery service. Now the service has expanded and allows delivery drivers to access your garage or even the trunk of your car. The British supermarket Waitrose has also experimented with a similar service in the UK. Once the expansion process begins, you can head over to InHome.Walmart.com to see if your address is eligible.
